Joseph's Discharge Certificate

"No. 1386 Pte Joseph Duquemin, Royal Guernsey Light Infantry. Served with honour and was disabled in the Great War. Honourably discharged on September 20th/18."

He was wounded and had to have one leg amputated above the knee. However, he went back to Guernsey and lived in St Sampson's until his death in about 1973 (aged 84).
