Son of Matthew Thomas and Margaret Elizabeth Crabb (nee Robinard), of St. Clair Hill, St. Sampson's, Guernsey.

Lost at sea, aged 33 years.

S.S. Ladoga, was a 1,917grt, defensively-armed steamship, torpedoed without warning and sunk by submarine on 16 April 1918, 15 miles SE from S Arklow light vessel in the Irish Sea. 29 lives lost including Master.
