Son of George & Mary Elizabeth Legg. Born in 1884 at St Peter Port, Guernsey. Died at Victoria Hospital, Guernsey, aged 34 years.

Husband of Mary Elizabeth Sarre. He was discharged in December 1917

 

 

Enlisted on 30/11/1914 in the Army Ordnance Corps. and transferred to the Middlesex Regiment on 18/06/1917. Served with the Mediterranean and Egyptian Expeditionary Force. He had previously served in the Royal Navy 1904-1909 (SS 543 Chatham) and then in the Mercantile Marine.

Admitted to 2nd Western General Hospital, Manchester 02/05/1916 to 30/05/1916 with Dysentery, County of London War Hospital, Epsom 30/08/1916 to 27/09/1916 and to the Queen Elizabeth Barrack Hospital, London from 23/04/1917 to 01/06/1917 and finally admitted to Fort Pitt on 9 November 1917

Discharged on medical grounds on 12/12/1917. Silver War Badge no. 139521.
