Son of Wallace and Amelia Madell, of 12, Mount Durand, Guernsey. Born at St. Peter Port, Guernsey.

Brother of Herbert Doyle and Stanley John Madell.

 

 

Roland Madell was shot, in Ireland, by republicans and his body was brought home.

He was aged 31 years

Died in Ireland 14th May 1921 in the conflict, body shipped back to Guernsey.

Served 8 years with the Colours.
