Son of Nicolas and Mary Mahy, of 20, Vauvert, St Peter Port, Guernsey.

Died, aged 24 years

*Ethelbert Edgar Mahy served with D Company of the 16th Battalion of the Manchester Regt during the Great War, his number was 37316. He was taken PoW on 21/03/1918 at Manchester Hill (near St Quentin), he had been wounded in the right leg and knee and also in the genital area. Even though the Red Cross PoW files record his place of capture as Francilly, D Coy had been tasked with the defence of Manchester Hill.
