Private Maurice Trevor Myles
3rd Battalion, Canadian Pioneers

Born at Bombay. Son of Edmond Henry Myles (Maj. R.A.M.C.) and Alice Caroline Myles. Elizabeth College Roll no.3091. Brother of Philip Henry Myles (3089) and Capt. Andrew Vere Myles (3090) who survived the War.

At the outbreak of war he was living at Ganges, Salt Spring Island, British Columbia and worked as a Rancher. Tried to enlist four times, but was rejected. Eventually succeeded on 15th Dec 1915 at Victoria, British Columbia, and joined 88th Canadian Fusiliers as a private, transferred to 3rd Canadian Pioneers.

Wounded in the buttock after engagement at Vimy Ridge. Died at St John's Ambulance Brigade Hospital, Etaples, France, aged 23 years
