Born at Hill Top, Rotherham, Yorkshire

Son of John and Emma Pursglove, of 39, Park Grove, Bramley. Husband of Annie Beresford. His brother Alfred Pursglove also died in service.

He died from tuberculosis of the lung in a Sheffield hospital, aged 24 years

Enlisted in 1913. Wounded 19/09/1914 (Aisne)
