Roll of Honour. It is with deep regret we announce the death which has taken place in action of J L Amy of 17th Battalion Middlesex Regiment. The deceased gallant soldier was 24 and was the only son of Mr A E Amy, late of Jersey and now of London. Death fortunately was instantaneous and was caused by an enemy shell exploding where he stood. The late soldier was buried with four comrades where they fell.
