NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Saturday 12 October 1918

Roll of Honour. It is with deep regret that Mr & Mrs F Amy of St Catherines Bay have received news that their younger son, Private P Amy of the Canadians, was killed in action somewhere in France on 28 September. The deceased, who left for Canada some years ago, was in his 26th year and was amongst the first Canadian volunteers and had previously been wounded. He was last on leave in the Island during the summer when he became engaged to a local lady, to whom, with the bereaved family, we tender our sincere sympathy.
