NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Friday 14 June 1918

Roll of Honour. A few weeks ago Mr J P Aubert of First Tower received news that his brother, Private Philip Le Brocq Aubert of the Dorset Regiment, was lying dangerously ill at Basra in Mesopotamia. It was hoped that he would improve but unfortunately he had a relapse and official intimation received yesterday states that he passed away on 2 June at the age of 39. The deceased soldier, who was unmarried, formerly lived in St Johns and joined up in May last year, he was, for a time, a shoe maker at St Peters Barracks and then left for service overseas. We tender the family our sincere condolences.
