The deceased soldier, who was in his 42nd year, was the husband of Mrs Blampied (nee Belin) of Pine Cottage, Sion, and the eldest son of the late Mr H C Blampied and Mrs Blampied of Augres, Trinity. He served in Jersey from 1914- 1916 and left for India on 16 August 1917.
