Killed in action, aged 32 years.

S.S. "Peshawur" (Glasgow). 7,634 tons, built 1905 by Barclay Curle & Company Glasgow as a Passenger Cargo Vessel, defensively-armed, 9 October 1917, 7 miles SE ¼ E from Ballyquintin Point, Co Down, torpedoed without warning and sunk by submarine U-96, 13 lives lost.
