The second son of Winter Theodore and Jane Nash Davis, of Durban House, Havre des Pas, St Helier.

He died of meningitus, aged 41 years

 


NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Thursday 15 February 1917

Roll of Honour. We regret to announce the death which has taken place in France of Rifleman T Davis of 18th Battalion Kings Royal Rifle Corps. The deceased soldier was the second son of Mr W Davis of Durban House, Havre des Pas, and previous to the outbreak of war resided in London. Though 40, the deceased who was unmarried, joined up under the Derby Scheme last May and proceeded to France about 3 months ago. Unfortunately he was taken ill and though everything possible was done he succumbed on 7 February from meningitis. We tender the relatives our sincere sympathy.
