NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Monday 11 December 1916

Roll of Honour. On Saturday last Mr Alfred de la Haye of Haute Croix, Trinity received an official intimation to the effect that his youngest son, Private Wilfred de la Haye of the Canadian Rifles previously reported missing, is now known to have been killed in action at the Front in France on 15 September last. The deceased soldier was in his 30th year. We offer our sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
