Killed in action, aged 25 years

NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Wednesday 5 May 1915

Roll of Honour. Another Jersey Lad Killed at the Front. Mr Francis du Feu late of Seale Street and now residing in Devonshire Lane has received official notification of the death in action of his youngest son, Private Walter Ernest du Feu of the 2nd Battalion Kings Own Regiment. The deceased enlisted in the Kings Own when they were garrisoned on the Island.
