Second son of George and Ida Maud Woodward Ereaut, of Sydney Villa, Bellozanne Rd., Jersey.

Died of wounds, aged 32 years.

NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Wednesday 7 March 1917 Roll of Honour.

The sympathy of all our readers will be extended to Mrs Ereaut of Sydney Villa, Bellozanne Road who has received official intimation that her second son, Sergeant Gordon Stewart Ereaut of 72nd Battalion Canadian Infantry has made the supreme sacrifice, having died on 2nd inst at No 6 Casualty Clearing Station in France from wounds received in action.

The deceased soldier was 32 and was formerly a teacher at St Marks School and left for Canada some 7 years ago. He had scores of friends in this Island who will regret to hear of his death. To the mother and family we tender our sincere condolences.
