NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Friday 1 November 1918

Roll of Honour. We regret to learn that Private Edmund Thomas Gaudin of the Middlesex Regiment has been killed in action on the Western Front. The deceased soldier met his death on 8 October during the big advance that was then being made. He was the second son of Mr T G Gaudin of 3 Salvandy Terrace, but resided with his sister at Woodbrook, Vallee des Vaux. The soldier, who was in his 28th year, joined up in 1916, he having been formerly employed as a carpenter in Salisbury. To the bereaved members of the family we tender our sincere sympathy.
