Born in India. Daughter of Cecil Ernest Gladstone (I.C.S.)
and Florence Elliot Gladstone (8 Peel Terrace, St Helier,
Jersey). One of only two female casualties of the Great
War buried in Belgium. Resident at Fauvic, Grouville,
Jersey in 1911.
Died, aged 32 years
“Sister Elsie M. Gladstone. QAINMS; died nursing
influenza stricken troops, Namur, Jan 1919. Served in
France from August 1915. Rec. RCC. Anaesthetist for
the hospital train”
