NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Tuesday 11 December 1917

Ex Jersey Rifleman Dies of Wounds. It is with deep regret we record the death of another member of the original Jersey Company Royal Irish Rifles, we refer to Oscar Clarence Gregory, who left the Island with the gallant little band in 1915. After serving for some time he was honourably discharged owing to illness, and though everything possible was done he never rallied and he passed away on Thursday last at his residence in Birmingham, in his 25th year. We tender the relatives our heartfelt sympathy.
