NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Friday 30 May 1919

Roll of Honour. On 23 March 1918 Sergeant George Peter Gulley, son of Mr & Mrs Gulley of 5 Hue Cottages, Hue Street, was reported wounded and missing. Since that date exhaustive enquiries have been made in all quarters and now, unfortunately, the sad news has come through that the gallant soldier died on the date mentioned. The deceased was in his 23rd year and was an efficient soldier, highly respected and very popular with all the Jersey boys in the "die-hards". He had previously been badly wounded and on recovery returned to France. The parents and family have our sincere sympathy in their sorrow.
