Killed in action, aged 25 years.

Roll of Honour - Another Jerseyman killed in Action. Mr & Mrs Hamon of Causie Lane, St Clement have received from the War Office an official intimation of the death of their fifth son Driver W F Hamon of the Royal Engineers, which occurred in action on 27 April last. The deceased, who was 25, had done 2 years service with the Royal Engineers and gone on the reserve list before the war. He was called up on the outbreak of hostilities and had seen much service since.

At 8pm every evening, the Last Post is played inside the Menin Gate in remembrance.
