of Honour. It is with sincere regret that we announce the death at the Front on
the 15 September of Lieutenant W E Harris of the 2nd West Riding Royal Field Artillery,
barrister at law and youngest son of Captain G R Harris of Oakhurst, Grouville.
The deceased officer was called to the Bar on 26 January 1915 and joined the Army
on 5 February following. He went to the Front in January of this year and came
home on leave in July. Some time ago he had been appointed to the command of a
trench mortar battery.
