NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Saturday 31 August 1918

Roll of Honour. We regret to record the death which took place in action on 11 August of Lance Corporal Frederick Charles Hodge of the Dorset Regiment. The deceased gallant soldier was the nephew of Mrs Hodge of St Lukes Cottage and had been in the fighting line for a very long period. He was in his 26th year. We tender the relatives our sincere sympathy.
