NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Saturday 13 April 1918

Roll of Honour. After serving in France since the early days of the war we regret to state that Gunner John Le Cocq of the Royal Horse Artillery, only son of Mrs Le Cocq of Grouville, has been called upon to make the supreme sacrifice. The soldier was 21 at the time of his death and joined the Army at an early age. He was killed during the heavy fighting on 25 March after more than 3 years active service in France. The mother and sister have our sincere sympathy in their sorrow.
