Killed in action aged 23 years.
NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of
Friday 14 December 1917
Roll of Honour. It is with sincere regret
we record the death which took place in action on 23
November last of Lance Corporal A Le Feuvre of the Royal
Irish Rifles. This soldier will be remembered as a prominent
member of the Veneer Football Club, who left the Island
with the original Jersey Company to join the Royal Irish
Rifles. He proceeded to France with the contingent and
was later invalided to England, suffering from illness.
He was last in the Island on leave a couple of months
ago before returning to France where he has now, unfortunately,
been called upon to make the supreme sacrifice. To the
relatives of the late Lance Corporal, who was in his
23rd year, we offer our sincere condolences.
