Died of pneumonia, aged 23 years

In Hospital. Mrs Le Huquet, who resides near St Martins Church, has received news that her eldest son, Rifleman J S Le Huquet, is lying seriously ill at No 2 General Hospital in Le Havre suffering from pneumonia.

Roll of Honour. News has been received by Mrs John Le Huquet, who resides near St Martins Church, that her son, Private John Stanley Le Huquet of the Kings Royal Rifles died at the Military Hospital at Le Havre on Saturday last of pneumonia following upon wounds received in the field. The deceased, who was the eldest son of the late Captain Le Huquet, was in his 22nd year and a blacksmith by trade. When the Jersey Company was formed he volunteered for service but was rejected, but a little later he again volunteered, was accepted and posted to the Kings Royal Rifles. He had been serving in France for over 2 years and for some months he had been attached to the Telegraph Department of the Royal Engineers. To the mother and family of this brave young volunteer soldier we tender our sincerest sympathy.
