Born at Jersey.

Possibly William Le Huquet, son of John & Jane Le Huquet of "Clearview", St Martin's, Jersey.

Lost, aged 42 years

S.S. Alacrity (Harris Bros. & Co., Swansea), was on passage from Le Havre for Seaham Harbour in ballast when she stuck a mine, layed by submarine UC 5 (Capt. Ulrich Mohrbutter), off Lowestoft . Thirteen crewmen went down with her, including the master.
