Killed In Action. We regret to learn of
the death of Lance Corporal W H Lennard of the Dorset
Regiment who was killed in action on October 12 last.
The sad news was conveyed to Mrs Lennard at 11 The Parade,
the deceased's mother, by the usual War Office notification,
whilst a covering letter of sympathy signed by Lord
Kitchener was also received. The deceased who was formerly
a bandsman in the Dorset Regiment joined the ranks in
order to obtain promotion. We tender our sincere condolences
to the bereaved family.
