NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Wednesday 22 September 1915

Roll of Honour - In one of the recent Dardanells casualty lists the name of Petty Officer Philip Clement Le Sueur of the Australian Naval Brigade Pontoon Bridging Party appears among the dead. This officer, who was 33, was the eldest son of Mr Philip Le Sueur, the coal importer of New Bath Street. He left the Island 5 years ago and was in a good position in New Zealand when the war broke out and he immediately offered his services. It should be said that the family has not received the news officially and it is just possible that an error may have crept into the list referred to, we sincerely hope it is so.
