Another Jerseyman Lost on the Good Hope.
We regret to state that information has been received
that another Jerseyman, Stoker John Le Vesconte, has
been lost on HMS Good Hope which was sunk in the Naval
battle off Chile some time ago. The gallant sailor was
37 years of age and to his parents, who reside at Greve
d'Azette, we beg to offer our sincere condolences in
their bereavement.
