Born at St Helier, Jersey, 14 June 1877. Enlisted in
the RN on the 30 Mar 1898 after prior service in the
Merchant Navy. His 1914-15 Star, VM and BWM were issued
to a nephew.
Killed at the Battle of Jutland when the Battleship
HMS Queen Mary exploded and sunk following two hits
from the German ship Derfflinger.
