Malcolm Graeme MacColl

Private Malcolm Graeme MacColl
18th Battalion. Australian Infantry
03/05/1917

He previously served in the Boer War and was a Lieutenant in the 3rd QMI Light Horse. Took part in the relief of Mafeking and transferred to the Cape Mounted Police. He obtained a commission in the Natal Light Horse and served through the German South Africa Campaign. He returned to Australia and signed up 13 Oct 1915 as a Private in Holdsworthy New South Wales. He was acting sergent for a time but reverted back to private. His connection to Jersey was that he attended Victoria College.
