NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Thursday 14 December 1916

Roll of Honour. Mr & Mrs Male of Hillside Cottages, First Tower have received the sad news of the death of their second son, Rifleman Arthur Joseph Male of the Jersey Company Royal Irish Rifles, which occurred at the Front on 9 September last. The deceased, who was unmarried and who was a plasterer by trade, was in his 28th year. We tender our sincere condolences to the bereaved parents and family.
