Roll of Honour. Yet another Jerseyman
has laid down his life on the Field of Honour, the soldier
Lance Corporal P Marie of the 2nd Hampshire Regiment
was in India with his Regiment when war broke out and
paid a brief visit to this Island before proceeding
to the Dardanelles. No news had been received of him
for some time and yesterday official intimation was
received in the Island that he had been killed in action.
Lance Corporal Marie was an old scholar of the Home
for Boys and was a most promising soldier. To his relatives
we beg to offer our sincere condolences in their bereavement.
