NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Wednesday 9 February 1916

Roll of Honour. The sad news has been received here that Private Henry George Lovat Marshall of the Royal Army Medical Corps has died at the Base Hospital in Rouen. The deceased was caretaker at the Alliance Club and joined the RAMC last year. He had only been a short time in France when he was taken seriously ill and unfortunately never recovered. He was in his 31st year and leaves a widow and child to whom we would tender our sincere sympathies in their bereavement
