The youngest son of Mr P F Mauger of Le Creux Farm.

He had been in the Merchant Navy prior to the war, but was moved to serve in a minesweeper. He was killed when his ship was sunk by a mine.

Killed in action, aged 31 years

Roll of Honour. Mr P F Mauger of Les Creux Farm, St Brelades has received the sad news of the death of his eldest son, P E Mauger, who was Mate on a mine sweeper which was sunk on 4 October. The deceased, who was in his 32nd year, was in the merchant service previous to the war and for the last 3 years had been engaged in the precarious business of minesweeping. WE tender the family our sincere condolences.
