NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Saturday 15 December 1917

Roll of Honour. Yet another Jerseyman, who though well on in years and the father of a family, who loyally volunteered when the call came, has been called upon to make the supreme sacrifice. We refer to Rifleman Reginald A Mauger, who was a well known local gardener residing at 21 Kensington Place. He left the Island with the original Jersey Company Royal Irish Rifles and his wife, who is left with several children, has now received the sad news that he has been killed in action somewhere in France. We tender the widow and family our heartfelt sympathy in their bereavement.
