Roll of Honour. The many friends of Mr
& Mrs W Newcombe of 41 Clearview Street will regret to hear that their grandson,
R Stanley Newcombe of the Gordon Highlanders, has died of wounds received in action
in France. The deceased gallant soldier was the eldest son of Mr & Mrs R W
Newcombe of London and a grandson of the late Mr Lee of Hue Street. We offer our
heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
