NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Saturday 20 February 1915

Roll of Honour. Another brave Jerseyman whose name will have to be written on the Roll of Honour is that of Private Stanley John Noel, the only son of Mr & Mrs Winter Noel of Patier Cottage, Five Oaks. The deceased, who was 18, had been for some three months in the fighting when he was killed on 6 January, but it is only within the past few days that his heartbroken parents have received the news. To them and to all members of the family we would tender our most respectful sympathy in their great bereavement.
