NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Friday 13 July 1917

Roll of Honour. We regret to record the death which took place in action on 25 June last of Sergeant Robert Lewis Norman of the Devon Regiment. This gallant soldier was stationed in the Island with the 1st Battalion some years ago, but was serving with another Battalion at the time of his death. He was most popular and highly respected and his widow, who resides at Devonia Cottage, Devonshire Place, will have the full sympathy of all our readers in her sad bereavement.
