Abbeville Communal Cemetery

Abbeville Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme

For much of the War Abbeville was HQ to the Commonwealth lines of communication and three large hospitals were stationed there. The cemetery contains the graves of some 2529 men. It is a very large cemetery with the extension set on two levels at the back of a massive Communal Cemetery.
