NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Monday 15 April 1918

Roll of Honour. It is with deep regret we chronicle the death which took place in hospital in France on 28 March from wounds received in action of Philip John Pinel of the Australian Imperial Forces. The deceased gallant soldier, who was 25, was the son of John Pinel of Tasmania and grandson of Mrs Pinel of The Ferns, Don Road. We offer the relatives our sincere sympathy in their sorrow.
