NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Friday 1 November 1918

The Late Mr C A Pirouet Interred. The mortal remains of the late Mr Charles Anthony (Tony) Pirouet, who died on Wednesday last, were laid to rest this morning in St Saviours Churchyard. The body was enclosed in a coffin of polished pine with brass mountings and the breast plate was inscribed "Charles Anthony Pirouet. Died 30 October 1918 aged 26". Mr Stevens played "O Rest in the Lord" as the body was borne into the church and the Dead March in Saul at the close of the service, which was most impressively conducted by Reverend G P Balleine. A very large number of wreaths and other floral tributes were placed upon the coffin.
