Roll of Honour. We regret to state
that Mr & Mrs S Simon of Beach Road have received the sad news that their
adopted son, Leonard Rice of the South African Scottish, was killed in action
on 3 July. The deceased gallant soldier, who was in his 31st year, was in the
Railway Department of the South African colony and took a great interest in Freemasonry,
having been a Past Master of the South African Lodge and was last in Jersey on
leave about 12 months ago. We offer the bereaved our sincere condolences.
