Roll of Honour. The many friends of Mr H Richards, the respected steward of the Jersey Mechanics Institute, will regret to learn that he has been officially notified of the death in action of his son, Private Henry (Harry) Richards of the Hampshire Regiment. This soldier, who was well known and very popular locally, volunteered and left the Island with the Jersey Company Royal Irish Rifles. Unofficial news had been received of his death and now the official confirmation states that he made the supreme sacrifice on 10 April, he being in his 23rd year. We tender the parents and other relatives our heartfelt condolences in their sorrow.
