The Loss of the Princess Irene. The second
of the two Jerseymen who met their fate on the Princess
Irene when she blew up in Sheerness Harbour was Leading
Seaman H Rogers, formerly serving in HMS Latona, the
crew of the latter vessel having recently been transferred
to the Princess Irene.
