Killed in action, aged 27 years.

The Loss of the Princess Irene. The second of the two Jerseymen who met their fate on the Princess Irene when she blew up in Sheerness Harbour was Leading Seaman H Rogers, formerly serving in HMS Latona, the crew of the latter vessel having recently been transferred to the Princess Irene.
