NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of
Wednesday 20 September 1916
Roll of Honour. We regret to learn that
the widowed mother of Rifleman D Scott of the Jersey
Company Royal Irish Rifles has this day received intimation
of the death of her son, who was killed in action on
9 September. The deceased was himself a widower but
had no children. Our sincere condolences go out to the
bereaved family.
