NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Monday 3 December 1917

Jersey Soldier Wounded. About a month ago Mrs Stanbury of 7 Phillips Street received a letter from the Reverend A W Harris stating that he regretted to hear that her son, Private A Stanbury of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry formerly of the Hampshire Regiment, had been wounded "going over the top", since then the mother had anxiously awaited news from her son or from official sources, but though she has made enquiries in many quarters she has been unable to get any further news. We sincerely trust her anxiety will soon be relieved
