Eldest son of Richard John and Lizzie Rosla Stevenson (née Beck), of the Public Works Department, Hong Kong. Resident at Gorey, Jersey.

Died of wounds, aged 23 years.

on Grouville Parish Memorial
and on memorial window in Gouray Church

Roll of Honour. We regret to announce the death which took place recently from wounds received in action of 2nd Lieutenant R J Stevenson of the Hampshire Regiment. This gallant officer was 23 and well known in the Island, his parents, who now reside in Hong Kong, formerly lived in Gorey Village. His grandmother is Mrs M A Beck of Gorey Village and his two brothers are now being educated at Victoria College. We tender the bereaved our sincere sympathy.
