NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Thursday 8 June 1916

Roll of Honour. We regret to learn that Seaman Alfred Peter Tisson lost his life in the naval action of 31 May. The sailor, who was about 25, was one of four brothers in the Royal Navy and was serving on HMS Fortune. Unfortunately the Admiralty state that his name does not appear in the list of survivors. We offer our sincere sympathy to the family in their bereavement.
A total of 26 Jerseymen are believed to have lost their lives in the Naval Battle of Jutland on 31 May 1916 and on HMS Hampshire which sank on 6 June 1916 after striking a mine off the Orkneys.
